Body fat scale and body fat goals

Hello all.

I'm currently at 199.4 (hooray for the 100's), with my most recent BF check at 39.4% with a weight @ the time of 203.4. That was a weight done first thing in the morning, without having had any water or exercise yet.

The thing is, according to this calculator - https://www.myrebody.com/weightlosscalculator - if I have a goal of mid 20s for body fat, that puts my weight at the mid 150's-160's, which is still an overweight BMI for my height (5' 6").

Does anyone have experience with these body fat scales and how accurate they are? Is it showing me a lower than expected BF because I've weighed early in the morning and am dehydrated? Should I suck it up and get an accurate BF measured somewhere? Should I just accept that I'll be "overweight" with a normal/athletic BF%?

The scales are only good to see trends & measure change in BF%. Take your number as a peak on a chart and bring it down, but don't get hung up on the number.

FYI: At 5'2" 122 lbs mine said I was 33% BF, at 128 lbs it had me at 38% BF. I doubt those numbers, but it did go down. :)
