I love you Laughing Cow Cheese Wedges.
You make me feel soooo guilty... and yet you fit in so nicely to my healthy eating plan!

MFP's - please share what foods make you "feel" guilty but that you can actually happily enjoy! I will be using the list on my next trip to the grocery store!

Shapers nougat bars... around 80 calories each and with all that yummy minty, strawberry or chocolatey goodness :P
  • I'm a huge fan of my morning smoothies, they're sweet and filling and taste like milkshakes. Under 400 calories!

1 container Dannon Light 'n Fit yogurt, 4 oz. (strawberry / blueberry, I alternate)
    One banana
1 cup fresh strawberries, or blueberries
    1 cup apple juice

These get me through the morning without feelings of hunger, though sometimes I'll have a brunch snack of 1/2 cup Kashi cereal.

    Good luck!

    (Here's a smiley, just because:wink:)

Ohh yeah, I agree on the hummus, and bean dips in general. Ever since I got my Magic Bullet I've been making my own - EVEN BETTER since I can cut out the extra sodium!

Take a banana, cut it into 4-5 pieces, freeze, then throw in food processor and process into a creamy ice cream like texture. Add a dash of vanilla or cinnamon to taste.

    Beyond heaven.

I make this all the time for my 2 year old daughter, and she LOVES it. I also add in 1 tbs of organic unsweetened cocoa powder and she thinks she's eating chocolate ice cream :)

I like to make pies out of graham cracker crust, with fat free/sugar free pudding mix, and some Cool Whip on top. Very tasty and low in sugar and fat. Hits the spot when I want to "cheat" but it has much less guilt attached than a "real" pie. :)

Dove's Dark Chocolate Almond Promises. The little individually wrapped pieces are just big enough to crush a candy/chocolate craving. They're 42 calories, but I justify that by the fact that almonds and dark chocolate are both good for you.

And the ones without almonds are less calories, if you don't like nuts in your chocolate. "Sometimes you feel like a nut!"

    York pieces - 50 pieces 170 calories. I just grab 5 - 10 at a time (and yes I do log them)

    I'm loving all the suggestions!!

For me, it's the Laughing Cow cheeses and the Skinny Cow ice creams. Yum!
  • I mash up a banana and 1 tbsp of Maranatha crunchy PB , and then eat it with a spoon, sort of like a banana PB pudding, lol - although after reading this I might have to try freezing the banana and having banana PB ice cream!

I love homemade pico de gallo and Garden of Eatin organic blue corn tortilla chips (just portion out the chips and put the bag AWAY before sitting down to eat!!)

Franz 45cal whole wheat bread with a bit of Nutella is great
