ifit for treadmill?

I was wondering how people feel about the ifit on the treadmill, since most reviews I could find on it are from about a year ago and I thought that maybe, it being a year, ifit has found some ways to improve itself.

The idea of ifit sounds really cool to me since I would like to train myself to run a marathon eventually, and it gives me different options so I won't have to stick to the same routine. But my bf is still on the fence about ifit, and right now we have an opportunity to get 3 years of ifit for a $100 discount, so is ifit worth it?

What are your experiences with it? Hate it? Love it?
