Question about Calorie goal

Options
Can someone who's lost weight on here tell me if after losing significant amounts, does MFP automatically lower your calorie goal (to say continue losing about 2 Lbs. per week) Or do I have to go in and change it some how myself?

You have to go in and change it yourself! Good luck and congrats! :)

When you log your weight at a point it will prompt you to " reevaluate" your calorie goals

As you lose fat mass, your goals should be reset and reduced since you pull less calories from fat as fat mass is gradually reduced. This is why the rate of fat loss slows down when people approach a normal weight range. In other words, as you lose weight, you may be eating more calories - to the point where you are eating maybe 250 calories below what's needed to maintain a reasonable goal weight range and body composition when you have about 10 to 15 lbs left to lose.
