I've started working out allot more to go with my new lifestyle and I I noticed my lower ab muscle is very , very weak.
I had a caesarean section over ten years ago so the muscle is well healed just in very poor condition.
I was wondering if anyone knows any good ab exercises good for the lower abs when it has been cut in half by surgery.

I've had 5 kiddos, 4th was a c/s and the rest were vaginal.

Odds are, the c/s has nothing to do with your current stomach issues. I really don't feel any different post healing from my c/s than I did after the births of my 3 prior kids. My son delivered via c/s is 7 now and my youngest (VBAC) is 2. My abs are out of shape but the c/s didn't do it. Carrying five 10 and 11 lb babies and not working out hard in between each kid is what did me in. I worked out hard after #4 (post c/s) and my body responded great. I'm now working back towards the shape I was in before my youngest was born.

Some women have bad adhesions that can cause pain when working out. If you don't have that issue (I don't) then one less thing to worry about! Being cut does weaken the ab muscles. Once healed though, the muscle should be ready to work just like any other out of shape muscle. No need to do anything special. Find a core workout you like and stick to it. A good one will be difficult at first but mostly doable. Don't forget to keep challenging yourself as you get stronger! Oh, and don't hyper focus on sit ups and crunches. I like planks, squats, leg lifts, etc. Lots of good info online and free workouts on YouTube. Check out Fitness Blender, free workouts!

    Good luck!

Ive had 3 sections and found that things like 30day shred really helped to tone up my stomach muscles again.

I've had 4 c sections. Maybe I should try the 30 day shred. And OP, I hope there is a way to tighten those muscles up, that is my trouble area. Good luck!
