Gaining weight from too much exercise why?

I work out twice a day cardio twice a day plus lift weights in the morning then right after I run for 20 min that's all. That can not be over training. The I go back later in the night and just run for another 20 to 25 min. Burning a total of I would say 900 calories a day. The thing is I only eat my large meal at night. No breakfeast small snacks through out the day. Could the weight I gained just be water? After I lift weights and do cardio my weight drops drastically. I wake up at 182 then after my first work out I am down to 177-178. My pants fit the same. Its depressing. I lose all the weight (80 pounds total). I work out so hard and then there is this.

Your most likley gaining due to food intake, or lack of. If your burning 900 calories a day and skipping meals, your body is going to store fat in fear of not eating. Id look at my meal plan a adjust from there and see where it takes you, Is your diary open?0

1. Are you taking rest days, make sure you are
2. 900 cals/day sounds like you are estimating your burns too high. 45 mins on the treadmill a day- I am guessing you cover about 4 miles (apologies if you are faster than that) but that would be about 400-500 calories. 20 minutes of weight liftng would not add up to another 400 unless you are really busting you behind.
3. The drop you are seeing post workout is probably water from sweating.
Edit to add that I am guestimating off of your profile but know height and weight and opening your diary might get you some way better answers.0
