Confused about calories and how many I should be eating? ;/

Hey all,

I currently have my daily calorie goal set to 1000. I have set it to this as I am following the Juice Plus Complete plan and that advises (for weight loss anyway), a shake for breakfast, shake for lunch and then a healthy balanced meal of approx. 600 calories for dinner. Healthy snacks in between are welcomed such as fruit, carrot sticks and hummus, nuts and seeds etc. I avereraged this out with the 600 cal dinner, each shake (made with water) is 120 cals, leaving around 200 calories for snacks.

My average day of eating is like this:
Breakfast - shake
Snack - almonds, peice of fruit
Lunch - shake
Snack - Graze box or dried fruit and nuts
Dinner - chicken breast, green veg, sweet potato
Snack - sometimes I have a light hot chocolate or a rice cake or something after dinner if I am struggling to resist!

I am exercising most days either going to the gym or a fitness class or (trying) to run and I dont generally eat back the calories I burn, meaning that minus burnt calories I am usually at around 800 calories. Every day when I complete my entery it tells me I am eating too few calories...my weight loss has slowed down a lot since the first 2 weeks which I know is normal, however I am just wondering if I really should be eating more calories? I am never hungry and if I am I eat.

So confused, any help is appreciated :<

    Eat more

Edit to add: how much are you spending on your graze boxes and shakes? Can you afford that?

You need to eat more than just 1000 calories. Not to mention I would recommend eating back at least half of your calories burned from working out. Think of it this way: If your metabolism is a campfire, the initial firewood is calories already stored in your body. the spark is you exercising and starting the fire. You can't keep the fire going unless you add more firewood to the fire. Same with metabolism you can't keep it burning calories without adding some fuel to the fire.

WBB55 - Thank you lol :) And the Graze boxes are £3.85 per week and one box lasts me all week. The shakes I pay £26 per month for a months supply. This is wayyyyy less than what I was previously spending just on unhealthy lunches like chicken and bacon sandwiches with crisps and chocolate!

cjazz72 - Thank you lol, that does make sense actually, im just scared of eating too much and gaining weight but I think I will try to increase the amount of each thing that I eat to get more calories in, especially dinner as I usually eat this after exercising :)
