I'm actually inquiring for my husband who is working right now. But he lifts furniture for a good part of the day and also drives a lot as well. He's getting back on MFP but he thinks his allotment is high at 2,450 to lose 1.5 lbs a week. He is 6'4 and 271 lbs and looking to lose 50 of it. Should he be lightly active or sedentary since each day is different. He will be doing DDP Yoga as exercise 3-4 times a week for 25 minutes.

I have been told that unless you sit on a couch ALL day you should put in at least lightly active. I just recently changed mine from sedentary to lightly active. I get to eat a little more and I am still losing weight.

    Add in the yoga separately

Each person approaches this in a different way. My reasoning when I set my profile up is for those days that I do sit on the sofa (honestly there aren't many, but they do exist), I don't want to over consume. With that in mind I set my activity level to sedentary. I log my workouts and eat back between 50 - 75% of my exercise calories. I accept extra movement as a gift of extra calories burned.
