I have been toying with MFP for a few years. I would only log for short stints, maybe a week or two. However, I am now finally motivated to beat this overweight thing for good! Why can't I be better at 40 than I was at 20?

I am 43 & trying to change a lifetime battle with food. Take small steps. I fell off the wagon for 1.5 years with MFP LOL. I. gained back 10 of the 30 I lost - I have 30 to go ... we can do it0

Yes we can! I originally singed up 3 years ago, but I have started this for real finally in December.0
