Hi! I was offered the chance to go skydiving with friends, once I checked the weight restrictions they were the following including skydiving gear weight :-
13st for females - 182lbs
15st for males 210lbs
Any ideas why the female one is so low:(? I'm really annoyed at the fact I could not attended /:
Any excuses to say why I cannot attended?:/
Thanks

When I googled "Why is the skydive weight limit different for women and men?" I got:
"We have different limits for men and women because differences in build and weight distribution make men and women fly differently."
And:
". As a general rule, height and weight must be in proportion."
And:
"BMI should also be taken into consideration, BPA statistics show that if a students BMI is above 27.5 they stand a greater risk of injury (approximately double the risk for a male and even greater for a female)."
So the top weight restriction applies to equipment ratings, but the female weight limit is probably more about BMI than weight.
For excuses? "Sorry, I don't think I can attend, but thank you for the invitation" ought to cover it.0
