How much weight gain f/MFP maintenance intake to increase?

I use the MFP default calorie goal (active setting) as my basis, and I was very surprised this morning that MFP hasn't automatically increased my calorie goal with each pound gained. As I understand it, each pound should increase maintenance by roughly 5 calories.
How much weight does one have to gain before MFP's maintenance intake will actually increase? I started inputting my weight on MFP the other day using the "check-in" feature. Each day I have gained 0.5 lb for the past 4 days. After 1 pound of weight gain (4 days because I was actually one pound under my set weight level to begin with), my calculated maintenance has not budged. This seems very wrong to me...
An MFP friend who is losing weight recalled that it took a 15-20 lb change to see the calculated maintenance calorie goal change.
Edit: Another MFP friend says that a change of 1-2 lbs has changed their maintenance calculation by 10-20 calories. This person is set to sedentary.
I've tracked 2 lbs gain on MFP using "check in" over the past few days, and maintenance has not budged. What gives? Is my MFP broken?

I would hazard a guess that the vast majority of people using MFP as a bulking tool are using custom calorie goals.0

According to this

MFP recalculates your goal every 10 lb.Every time you record your weight in our system, MyFitnessPal checks to see if you've lost 10 pounds since the last time your goals were calculated. If so, we'll ask you if you'd like to reset your goals based on your new weight. We recommend logging your weight once a week.0 -

Seems like most of you are indeed. But I feel like the default, set to active, and then adding a surplus and eating back exercise burns, is pretty accurate for me. It hasn't failed yet for bulking...other than the exercise burn database being wrong as we've already discussed.
I'm just going to assume that I need about another 5 calories for each additional pound. That's slightly lower than the 6 cal that contemporary studies say, but should be close enough.According to this
