Jawbone Up + running app = calorie error

I wear an Up band. I like it. It reminds me to move at work since it's always there, and I like to try to get my 10,000 steps.

But then I go for a run and log it on Map My Run.

That's all great, but MMR is linked to Up, and Up is linked to MFP. And it seems like Up isn't smart enough to figure out not to count all those steps twice. The band records them as steps, but also ads calories burned for the MMR workout.

It hasn't been a huge problem. I usually just delete my Up adjustment from my log. But I'm thinking maybe the better answer is to just take my Up band off when I do a run or work out in the gym - anything that I'm going to record separately.

Curious what others do. Any good suggestions?
