You'll probably get as many different answers as there are dieting suggestions. First, look at do you have any medical issues which require specific dietary restrictions. If no, then you are really open to create whatever kind of plan works for your lifestyle.

Try one, like eating the big breakfast, for a week to see how you feel and if you see results. If that style leaves you hungry all the time, try the 3 meals/2 snacks plan and reevaluate. Keep tweaking until you find what works for you, because truly, the best plan is whichever one you can stick to for the long term.

You hear a lot of things when you look for advice on weight loss.

Don't follow a menu. That's my advice. Eat what you want but eat less of it. Eat how you are comfortable eating - would you be more satisfied on three bigger meals a day, or five smaller ones? Make healthier choices and substitutions. Eat more vegetables. Take the stairs. Log what you are eating, log it accurately, and hold yourself accountable to it. This is how you lose weight.

ONE thing I would like to mention - if you're lifting, get adequate protein to maintain that muscle. This doesn't mean cutting carbs or fats. It just means getting enough protein. Hit that protein goal!
