Hey guys:)

Basically I haaatteee the gym. I'm self conscious even though I know that no one is looking at me lol. If I get in on the treadmill or elliptical twice a week, that's an accomplishment.

What I want to know is if aerobics classes or dance is a good substitute for my jogs and other cardio activities at the gym. I see a few on youtube that I think I like much more than the evil treadmill...
I'm still going to try to get in there, but I want to know what is a good activity to really get me moving from home.

Sure is. It's all about getting your heart rate up. Give it 100% and when you can, do high intensity moves (like jumping or hopping) and it's a great workout. I run, but can only run once a week due to my knees and back. I run once a week, do step aerobics once a week and bike once a week for my 3 cardio workouts each week. Have fun!!

If you don't like running, don't run. A good workout is a good workout. If you like classes, take them and give them your all. Try some of the HIIT on Fitnessblender.com, it's guaranteed to kick your *kitten* and make you realize you got an awesome workout!
