HRM Results - Question

I have a polar FT40 HRM with a chest strap that displays the amount of calories burned for the amount of time I'm working out, usually an hour. Should I be subtracting from that total the amount of calories I would have burned anyways during that hour? And how much should that be (I'm guessing doing some math with my BMR)? I'm worried I'm double counting calories.
Thanks!
Thanks!

My boddybugg says I burn between 1 to 2 calories per minute when I am doing nothing... so I use that number to subtract when I do exercise.0

I understand what you are saying about subtracting, but I do not do that and have been losing weight fine. I just noticed that I have been using this site for 182 days and have lost 25 pounds. So that is a little under 1 pound per week. Since I already passed my goal, I changed it today, so now I have 3.2 more to go.0
