I've been stuck in the low 170's ( 171 to 173 range) for 3 weeks now. Slight increase in the last two weeks up to 173 ;-(
I'm trying figure out if need to lower my daily target to 1200 or even less. I had it set to 1250.
My net calories allowing for exercise is coming in at between 1000 and 1300 a day. My total calories not accounting for exercise runs between 1200 and 1500 a day. I'm 51 male 5'5".
I started out at 204 and had good success until I passed 180. At that point the loss started to slow and now I'm bouncing in the low 170s. My goal is 155.
I use pedometer to track my steps and come up with a number for exercise from walking I and add in elliptical as time permits.

your diary is closed but based on your post you are probably eating more than you think

Do you use a food scale to weigh solids?
If not that is the issue. How do you know how much you are eating if you aren't weighing it? measuring cups don't cut it.
As for you being a male min amount recommended is 1800 so don't drop lower just log accurately.0 -
Hi,
I would not go below 1200 calories/day. Your body needs fuel to function. Also, here is a helpful blog that a good friend of mine (certified personal trainer) wrote that you may find helpful.

oh ya first thing I bought was a digital kitchen scale .... I think my measurements are pretty accurate.
204 to 180 lbs I averaged 1 to 1.5 lb a week.
180 to 172 I averaged 0.8 a week approx. But its the slowdown in progress and back slip in the last two weeks has me trying to figure out what to adjust to get back on track.0 -
I did look at your diary and it appears lots are weighed but not everything...unless it's the entries you are using.
Speaking of entries the choice of those matters as well...
If you see an entry with an asterick or generic or homemade in it avoid it...if you can't avoid it check # of confirmations and check the nutrional value against the package.
For example 100g of chicken breast meat has 172calories...your 110 @ 135calories is low, cooked cabbage 1cup.
Tighten up logging and eat a decent amount of food and eliminate cheat days/meals with eating what you want within reasonable portions when you want and that will help. I am assuming you are a guy based on your name but 1800 min if you are...
Remember this is a lifetime change not a diet and unless you plan on not eating your favorite foods when you want for the rest of your life okay but that is neither realistic nor sustainable.0
