Yesterday was my first day in a Gym,.
I have lost my Gym Virginity (lol) i know that sounds funny, i was sooo scared to open that door but i did it. i was so worried for nothing all these years, last time i have been in a gym was in 08 and i was in high school and i was so conformable with the guys i had in that class i worked out with them daily. it was a weight lifting class. and i was ok than, i was a little chubby but as a high school girl i didn't care how much i benched or did, i just cared if the boys were looking at me .haha i know typical high school girl!
But yesterday was definitely an experience and im sooo happy i did it, something told me to get my foot in the door and i did. i was scared at first and i put the head phones in and turned up the cell phone to the best group ever my favorite Backstreet Boys, and i just went at it . so i hopped on the treadmill for 35 ish minutes and i was feeling it after 15 but i felt like i was going to give up and so than i put on some lil jon and i just jammed out and didn't pay attention to who was looking or what the time was, before i knew it 30 mins was up really quick and it shocked me how fast it went away. The gym trainer guy told me to work out for only 30 minutes to start out and i felt i wasn't ready to leave yet i was in mode and i was jamming out and i wanted to keep going .but he also told me to not over do it.. so i went on a bike thing not sure what it was called for 20 more minutes. and i ended up burning about 260 pounds by being in a gym for 50 minutes.
after i left i was sooo happy that i did it , i didn't feel tired, i felt relieved, proud that i actually walked into the place in the first place.
im sharing my story and ill continue to help and post stories to help other succeed, i know im not where i want to be and ive talked to many MANY MFP people and people who care about me and know im in danger bc im 42.69 BMI WAYYY OVER weight and its not healthy, But this is the first step it took me forever to admit i needed to do this for my health and my future, it took me forever to admit i have an eating problem. but i will replace that with the gym any day and eating healthier .
i was scared and i didn't admit any of it , i know there are many people out there who are like me and i know we can do it and i know we just have to believe and i think so negative so much that i cant do it and im going to get tired of it again...and im going to go to BK again and Taco bell, and not eat salads im going to want that. But i know i need to be strong i do have a goal and i need to do the best i can in my power to achieve that goal! and i know with the support from many i know i can get there... but i do have the fear that i will fail, i just gotta believe and keep my head up!
