Losing weight with PCOS seems impossible, help!

I have struggled with my weight throughout my entire life, despite constantly dieting and exercising I just could not lose weight. After debating on going to the doctors about it I finally plucked up the courage to go and tell the doctors about my PCOS symptoms, the main thing particularly bothering me was the weight and excess hair. After being told to just keep exercising and dieting I have gotten no further in my weight loss. In the last 5 months I've managed to lose a stone but I am still two stone overweight, can anybody please give me any advice, tips or tricks?

It would be greatly appreciated and it really is needed.

Thank you!

There are several PCOS groups on here with others who are dealing with the same.

It makes weight loss more difficult, but not impossible. I have several friends with it who are losing weight still. Those with PCOS do seem to benefit from lower carb diets.

PCOS does not cause weight gain. It makes your body store fat in your belly and harder to lose from this area, but it does not cause weight gain. The first step to treat PCOS is to exercise and lose weight. Your dr could send you to a dietician if you have trouble making a plan, but cannot otherwise help you.
