Low Low Fat Brownie Recipe

Makes 24 servings

Low low fat brownie. serving size:24. Calorie: 37/serving (17g)

Ingredients 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
6 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
4 ounce (1/2 cup) applesauce
2 eggs

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F (175 degree C). Grease an 8x8 inch square pan.
2. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, cocoa, sugar and salt.
3. Pour in oil, vanilla, applesauce and eggs. Mix until everything is well blended. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
4. Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven, or until top is shiny and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    When I've used it, yes, unsweetened works fine. The oil that you're replacing isn't sweet, and apples have plenty of natural sugars without any added.

    These sound great but I have one question, in the ingredient listing you do not list oil but in the directions you do list it. So do you or don't you use oil?

    You can replace oil with applesauce in baking. Applesauce makes the recipe a bit healthier.

    I wish there was a way to save favorite posts so I wouldn't lose this one! It'd be helpful with recipes.

    Well it says "Pour in öil, vanilla, applesauce and eggs." It does not say "Pour in vanilla, applesauce and eggs." So it seems to me like a small amount of oil must have been required in the original recipe.
