DEAD arms!

HELP! My PT and I have been hitting it hard for the last few weeks because I am scheduled for surgery at the end of the month. This was at my request of course, she always tells me slow and steady wins the race but I am impatient!

We have done dead arms for 3 days in a row along with our normal routine. Starting at 25 lbs to max , 20lbs to max, 15lbs to max, 10lbs to max and finally to 5lbs to maximum amount which feels like I am lifting a boulder!

Monday we did bicep curls, Tuesday we did triceps and today we did this funky arm extension with a wrist twist.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN THIS SORE IN MY LIFE!

I tried laying in a warm bath, Tylenol and I am guzzling water. (cant take NSAIDS due to a bleeding disorder)

Do any of you fitness guru's have any suggestions? I am achy from my scapula to my finger tips and my tricept muscle is actually spasming! I can feel it and see it!

Me and my dumb ideas!

Pobrecita, 3 days in a row might've been too enthusiastic! However, I have found exercising the same super-sore muscles to actually be the cure, at times. I think your case might've been a little overkill. If you must exercise, maybe change muscle groups/try something lower-key while your arms repair.

It does seem like a lot of exercise for arms. Arms are not a major muscle, therefor, when working compound exercises, theses get worked and don't need much isolation training.

As suggested, epsom salt and hot bath might help. Lower body routine, will resting the arms.
