Do you ever do maintenance weeks & then lose more?

Just curious if anyone else ever does maintenance weeks? I haven't been feeling that great the last week and a half, some days are good diet-wise, others not so good. At this point I'm just trying to stay under my maintenance calories (weekly). Although I'm okay with this, I'm worried this may become a habit.

I have for special occasions or vacations, usually for mine I am not tracking at all and just trying to make the best decisions I can. I have found for myself personally it helps to take a week off every once in a while too, it helps prevent burn out for me and I come back ready to rock and roll again. You just have to really look into yourself and decide whats important, if its a once in a lifetime opportunity then live life to the fullest, life is not all about dieting and trying to lose weight. However, you have your goals and there was a reason you decided to start this journey so don't sell that short either. If you are making excuses for not good reason the cut that out and get back on track. I like to break my goals down month by month and set goal weights along the way. That way I can set a goal for being completely on track when I should be or set a less aggressive goal in a month where I know I will be on vacation. Special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, other celebratory reasons) I limit to one day or usually one meal. I track it so I know how hard I hit my deficit and what to expect from it.

It always surprises me when that happens. I exercise hard and sometimes I take a week for recovery, mobility, stretching, and to really focus on nutrition. A lot of the time I end up having big weight loss on those weeks, more than when I'm working out hard. Rest and recovery are important.
