I'm 17 years old 5'1 and 165 lbs.
Cardio just hasn't worked out for me. I haven't lost any weight and i have been putting some serious work in for about 3 months.
I have decided that i want to start weight training as my main workout. I feel like i might actually have better results doing so.
anyways, the only thing stoping me is that I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START.If you could tell me some of your workouts, or maybe even make one up for me it would help me sooo much. Also, i dont want something easy, i want something thats going to kick my *kitten* .
Oh, and i have a fear of dead lifiting, i just know i wont do it right and ill end up embarrassing myself. I cant afford a trainer and how to videos just arent enough for me.Also, i do eat healthy, im not expecting my workout to all the work.

Diet is 80% of losing weight. Exercise is 20% You can work your *kitten* off every day but if you dont have your macros in check youll never lose an ounce.0

Agree with above poster. What you eat affects weight loss. Exercise is a part of eat, but the bigger impact is what and how much you're eating.
Definitely weight training helps....if you can't afford a trainer. You can check out a few books or youtube. My friends have found some success using this book: http://www.amazon.com/The-New-Rules-Lifting-Women/dp/1583333398
My preference is using kettlebells. Results are amazing when workouts are consistent.0 -
I don't know if you can still find the book, But 'Body For Life' by Bill Phillips was a tremendous help for me.0
