Halfway there

I started at 243 lbs after I had my daughter...That was 6 years ago now. I started using MFP 5 years ago and lost 25 lbs within just a few months. The rest of the time i've lost another 25, give or take a few. I've had set backs and gained back some and then lost it again. Right now, i'm sitting at exactly a 50 lb weight loss. My problem has always been quantity and sweets. For the most part I don't eat horribly, I just eat too much. However, I do go on fast food binges. It's horrible and disgusting and I always feel terrible afterwards but food is an addiction for me. I was going to the gym religiously 5x/wk this summer and made it through the fall and I was feeling great and dropped 10 lbs without trying...and then I started nursing school. I really, really have to start watching myself because I have almost no time to work out, and I have a free membership included in my tuition.
I've still got about 50-55 to lose for my ultimate goal but I realized today how proud I should be of what i've already accomplished. It may have taken me awhile but i've grown and learned so much from it.
For anyone just starting out, some of the changes i've made may not seem significant but they've worked for me. I don't eat white anything. No rice, milk, bread. I stick strictly to whole wheat, and don't let anything labeled "wheat" trick you. If the first ingredient on the food panel doesn't say "whole wheat" you might as well eat white. I hardly eat red meat. Turkey, chicken, and seafood are my staples. I also realized the importance in proteins and how they keep me full longer. Mmmmm....almonds. Egg whites. The yolks are really yummy, and I do eat them but I try to minimize the intake. Drink lots of water...it helps keep you full.
Any other questions or comments feel free! I need some motivation, support, and quite possibly a kick in the tush so bring it on! I also don't know how to post pictures but you can see my progress in my pictures.
