1st, are you drinking water? Or colas, tea, etc? Drink water, water, water! It's one of your biggest helpers. 2nd, if you were not active at all 1400 may be too many calories. Also, are you eating a healthy 1400 (like fruit, fresh vegys, lean meat) or just what ever keeps you under your limit (mcdonalds, sweets, pizza)? That makes a big difference!! Everyone is different and everyone loses differently. I do calisthenics and my calories intake is only at 1323, I only eat healthy food, had to completely change my diet. I had to learn to eat again so to speak.. Pilates will help with your core. It will strengthen and tone but may or may not help lose "fat". Also keep in mind muscle weighs more than fat, so don't just look at the scale, take your measurements and judge by that. Weight can "reposition". You can have all the muscle in the world and it still be covered by layers of fat. Cardio= sweat crying! lol! More you sweat the better you are, you must keep your heart pumping. It does take time, lots of it sometimes. Just do not give up. A great website to read up on is www.iifym.com and also skinnymom on pinterest has lots of great recipes, just look at the numbers aka calories before you cook it :) Hope I helped some, best of luck!
