Calories burned can't be right?

I never walk anywhere very lazy I know so today I though I would go for a walk, pushing my 2 year old in her pram. I used my heart rate monitor polar ft4 but the calories burned seem very high I'm 5ft5 171 lbs and 31. It says for 1hr 18 mins I burned 482 calories. I did get very sweaty in all honesty but I really don't think that those calories are right. Any ideas on what I should log as I've counted this as extra exercise as I never walk anywhere

That doesn't sound too far off to me, depending on your pace. Maybe a bit high, but not outside the realm of possibility. IIRC, at 5'6" and 145 lbs, I see about 250 kcal for an hour of brisk walking, and I'm not pushing anything :)

Check what your heart rate was for various periods, if the FT4 has that. If you were in what they call the "fitness zone" for a long period of time, you were earning some pretty good calories.

You could always just log half, if you're pretty sure it was off.
