Uh-oh, weekend is coming

I ALWAYS mess up on the weekend!! Now that football is back, its worse! I eat bad things and drink both days now. Tomorrow Im going to the gym, so I will try to stay within calories for Sat. Sunday though is always a mess! Need some motivation.

    Usually one of my weekend days is my "free day". I have found that it hasnt hindered my weight loss thus far. With that being said I love football too and its really hard to steer clear of all the chicken wings and beer. I have found that having a glass of water with my beer helps. Not only is it reducing the amount of alcohol that I am consuming but it helps keep my hydrated. I guess just like football you need to have a game plan. Usually I also do laundry on game day so I am getting a slight workout (during commercials) by walking up and down the steps and bending and such.

    I am not a believer in "free day". This is real life and I am changing my lifestyle. So - If I have everyone to my house I make healthy, low cal items that all will enjoy. My friends still call for chicken and swordfish kabobs on the grill! If I am going to a game - I pack up food and take with me. If I go to a friends house, I let them know in advance that I am on a restricted diet (they take that better than dieting) and if they are not preparing food I can have - I bring it. People are really supportive and even prepare stuff they know I will like. Sometimes all I bring is fat free salad dressing. Limit alcohol - tons of usless calories.

    me too, love football sundays. Love going to the bar with my boyfriend and drinking beers and eatin wings :smile: Last wk, I drank Miller light instead of sam adams, so that saved some calories, and we walk to the bar and stummble home lol The water thing is a great idea! I have been cooking on Sun night too, chili or healthy poatto skins or something like that. You would think watching those athletes would make people want to work out, not drink and eat LOL
  • I have a 'spike day' on a sunday - it hasn't stopped my progress at all. I would just try and keep it to the one day chick xxx
  • This post jumped out at me straight away!! I am so good calorie wise and exercise wise then terrible at the weekends......The vodka gets opened and a ottle and a takeaway later I am left feeling drunk and disapointed!! We must try harder to resist the weekend temptations haha.... Good luck to you! xxx
