Lunch ideas

I am starting a new job on Tuesday and am looking for some good ideas that I can pack for my lunch. I have never had to pack a lunch before as I always worked in restaurants (maybe I should have been packing my own lunches bc I am pretty sure that crappy restaurant foods and an unlimited supply of it is how I go the way I am today).
So I am looking for and open to any and all suggestions...please.

I love a good salad! (look up salad in a jar on Pinterest)... I'm big on chicken and sweet potatoes, whole wheat pastas with chicken and sauce, I sometimes do a green shake for lunch too. I meal prep on Sundays, so I plan out all my meals and keep them in containers to reheat. Knocks out all of my hard work on one day. If you go to www.skinnytaste.com there are a ton of great recipes!

I do lots of sandwiches. And you can always pack leftover supper.

I like to make up a batch of vegetable soup on Sundays so I have something for lunch at work for 3-4 days. I also ALWAYS bring a container of a mix of raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, grapes etc. Then I fill my lunchbox with snacks like jello cups, a clementine, Rivita crackers, cereal bars. I sometimes bring dinner leftovers but usually just half-portions.

My coworkers bring things like crackers & cream cheese/hummus, fruit, wraps, bagels, yoghurt, salads, small pasta portions.

Spinach salads (kind of loving pumpkin seeds on that lately - adds protein) lots of raw veggies on the side because I like to eat a decent quantity of food, some fruit for something sweet and either half a sandwhich or some protein like baked chicken, tuna salad, hummus to dip veggies, cheese sticks, boiled eggs, deli meat or summer sausage (not super healthy but good once in awhile). I'm going to do more baked chicken. I like it cold and it is packed with protein and not to many calories. Oh. Pickles. Love zesty sweet pickles :).

Sometimes take left overs like soup or chili.

Thank everyone for your ideas! I think I will probably go with salads, wraps and some fruit. Leftovers are kind of not possible as there are never any left at night. I usually just make enough for the 2 of us.

I normally just bring leftovers of whatever we make for dinner. Last week I cooked up pork (like pork loin sliced up, cooked in a skillet) and I took some of that for lunch every day. Another thing I like to bring is chicken breast... sandwiches sometimes. But normally just whatever we had for dinner. (lasagna, spaghetti, taco salad, meatloaf, fried chicken, pulled pork, etc.) I pack my lunch damn near every single day. I use a LOT of tupperware. I pack breakfast lunch and a snack or two. For snacks I made a veggie dip and bring a bunch of peppers and broccoli and carrots. Or an apple with some peanut butter. a banana. Beef jerky.

I like to bring raw veggies and hummus to dip them in. Some days I bring half a turkey sandwich on whole grain bread with spinach. Greek yogurt and fresh fruit it also a good option for a snack. I eat small meals throughout the day rather than three larger meals. Previous posters have also mentioned bringing left overs from the night before if you have any, that's always an easy lunch to pack! When I make whole wheat pasta for example I make extra so I can pack it for my lunch the following day. Same with grilling chicken breasts. Hope that helps!

    umm, make more?

there is only 2 of us, but I always cook more, like for 3-5 people. I get food at work but my bf works from home and appreciates that he doesn't have to cook too often:)

That's easily remedied. Make enough for 3 or 4 and then you have leftovers.
