How to eat more with gastritis?

Hi guys,
I've been using the app for over a week and have found that it's really hard to meet the daily calorie intake.
I have gastritis and have been catching a bunch of colds etc on top of that.
The app tells me to eat 1400, but only 1 day out of 7 I was able to reach it.
Most days I'm much below. My average is 1100 cal.
Its hard because the gastritis puts a lot of restrictions on what o can eat.
I eat as much as I want but at the end of the day I never meet the target.
I've lost 6 lbs since I was diagnosed (4 months ago). But was able to gain 4 back. I'm within my bmi, but still kinda worried about not meeting my calories.
Does anyone recommend some kind of shake that doesn't have chocolate or sugar?
I am starting to try eating smaller meals more often. Hopefully that will help too.
Everyday its a struggle finding foods that won't trigger the gastritis, finding food to eat as soon as I get hungry (to avoid the pain of the acid on the empty stomach), and now trying to eat enough to keep my body healthy. I feel a little frustrated

I'm looking to create a support group here in the forum for people with gastritis so that we can help and motivate each other.
I need 3 people to start the group, so if you're interested, please reply to this post!!!0 -
Small, bland, light meals are the only thing that works for me. The problem is I'm in school attached to a dining hall, or I'm sure a working person would face a similar problem. I'm not sure if everyone feels like this, but the pain makes me want to stop eating, but my appetite is not suppressed at all. If I go too long I will have pains from hunger too. Double the problem is not efficient...
