I've been the same weight for three weeks now. I only have around 15-20lb left to go, but have done loads of things to shift it.
Cutting calories to 1000 a day, no change.
Increasing calories to 2000 a day, no change.
Doing an hour of cardio a day, no change. Doing weights and cardio and circuits, no change.
Not eating after 8pm, no change.
The scales just won't budge, no matter what I try! Any ideas? Thanks. Getting a bit despondent

Unfortunately as you get closer to goal it becomes more difficult. Let me ask you, do you weigh your food? You may be eating more then you think. Also found this website

If you put in your goal weight it tells you what your calories should be to maintain that weight and if you start eating that amount now, you will get to that weight plus already be accustomed to eating that amount of calories.
Hope this helps.0 -
I find it hard to believe you're not losing on 1000 cals0

Last pounds come off slower. If you have only been trying different things for 3 weeks - you haven't given any one of those things enough time to make a difference.
Calorie deficit from your TDEE
Weigh/measure/log every bite that goes in your mouth
As far as eating after 8pm, that has no bearing on weight loss. Calorie deficit is all you need. Patience is the one thing that people have a hard time with. Be patient.0 -
Interesting how your body didnt do anything after 2000 calories either. not even by increasing in weight from eating a lower amount. Something is going on but I'm not sure what. Sometimes things like this just happen and you have to wait for the weight loss to continue again.0

have you tried all this in the 3 weeks? It takes about 4 weeks for you to be able to determine whether something is working. So after a 3-5 day run you can't say something is not working. With the last few pounds it's always a struggle. I would recommend 300-400 deficit at this point and just staying consistent with your exercise and food.
Do you own (and use) a food scale? Do you strength train?0
