Kettlebells

Hi, all :) I was curious as to how often to do strength training with Kettlebells. Currently I try to do 3 times a week for 15 minutes followed by the treadmill for an hourish. Would it be beneficial to increase it to 5 days a week followed by cardio? Thanks :)

I bought a kettlebell that has a 5# weight, a 3# weight that attaches, and a 4# weight that also attaches, so you can have any combination of weights you can make with 5#, 3# and 4#. It came with a video for a 5 minute warm up, a core workout, lower body workout and an upper body workout. each workout is for anywhere from 15 to 18 minutes. just the warmup and one of the workouts really kicks my butt. I haven't been able to get to more than one workout after 3 weeks. But, the info that came with with set, said NOT to do the full workout more than every other day. Since I haven't been able to do the whole thing, I have done the warm up and core one day, warm up and upper the next, and warm up and lower the next, Hopefully soon I'll be able to do 2 of them the same day. I really do like it though. But essentially I believe it's the same as weight lifting, where you work your muscles to basically wearing them down, then you give them a day to repair, then wear them down again the next when you exercise. That's at least my understanding of how that all works. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I try for every other day. I do swings with a 25# kettlebell.
