Lost 200 lbs, and need skin help

I have lost 215 lbs, and kept it off for two years. But I am having a lot of problems with loose skin. I have been doing creams, eating healthy (I see a nutrionalist), weight lifting and running/intense cardo every single day. I work out 2 to 3 hours per day, without a break in the last 3 years. But my skin refuses to shrink back, and as such it still makes me appear fat around my stomach and thighs/butt. I am here hoping to find some other people who have lost a similar amount of weight to me, and can share their skin story?

I wish that I had some advice or even some encouraging words for you. I started with 100lbs to lose and at my age I have resigned myself that I will have loose skin. I know that I have made good progress and I am proud of myself for that but after taking a shower and standing in front of that mirror...it is a little discouraging.

I stay positive though because I am more fit than I have been in many years and I am enjoying being able to do things that I have not been able to do in a long time. While it is good to have a positive attitude about our bodies...I will take the health benefits over "lookin' hot"!

BTW Congratulations on keeping it off for two years...I hope in the future that I will be able to say the same thing...I plan on it!
  • Thank you for replying, and i am sure you your success will far outshine mine =). I am 27 year olds, i run 6 miles every day and weight lift every day. I am not even sure why i am here to be honest, except i have not been able to find anyone in " real life" who could relate or who cares. I am hoping to find someone who can tell me if given more time skin will shrink back, or if plastic surgery is necessary.

Have you considered something like the Tripollar Stop? I have never used one, but it is supposed to be the same technology as thermage, but for home use.
  • No I haven't, thank you i will look into it.

I believe if after this amount of time, you still have plenty of loose skin surgery may be your only answer.
This guy, at the top of success stories had a skin surgery:

There's a new treatment that you have to get from a plastic surgeon which is not surgery. Look up Viora...it's not cheap, buts it's better than surgery.

Someday I hope to have lost enough weight to need this! :-D
  • That guy's story is amazing, thank you for sharing that. And i have not heard of Viora yet, i am looking into it, thank you.
