I know in the US you can take a small class which comes down to a test and if you pass you become a licensed Trainer but their are a handful of companies that will license you some are a lot better than other and some are a lot more respected than others.0

Hi Stephanie,
My cousins husband is a personal trainer so I asked him. You can get your PT certification through Can Fit Pro, which is a popular method but its only 4 days so you don't actually learn that much. So thats more for someone who already has some education in related topics or there is a more extensive course, ACE (American College of Exercise Physiology) which is a good program (it is probably offered through Dalhousie University over a few week period).
