Im on 1200 calorie diet. Some days I go under some I go 50-70 over. I AM ON A DOCTOR recommended diet and am being monitored. So no omg thats not healthy. I dont exercise and if I do I eat more.

I started at 167lb im 5'3 now im at 160. So I wanted to know if this is a good weight loss pace.

2 lbs a week is considered a really good loss and you are above that by a pound, so yes that's a great start on your journey.
  • wow! That's amazing. I hope I can do that too. I'm as tall as you and I love eating rice and sweets. How do you control your sugar cravings and the hunger ?

It is very typical to lose at a higher rate when you first start weight loss this is completely normal so do not get disheartened as this will not be sustainable - for now keep to the doctor recommended diet as it is working (stimulating the weight loss). As time progresses you are just looking for an overall trend downwards. It is what you do on an "average" day that will win out in the end not individual day should be taken in isolation / measurement. As Sharon says 2lbs a week is really great reduction rate - you may or may not achieve this average this is not important it is the overall trend line goes in the direction you want - the cumulative sometimes seemingly small loss rate really accumulates over time - you will be amazed! Your doing great.....

Fot the average person with not too much weight to lose, I would say this is losing too fast. Since you say a dr monitors you, I am guessing there is a reason to lose really fast, so you are doing great :)
