Wanting to lose 40kgs (about 90 pounds)

I'm just starting my journey to a new life today. Im 28, female, from Australia. I'm hoping to meet others who I can share my journey with. I've tracked today and I've already consumed too much. Anyone got any tips for keeping under their target? My mistake today was grabbing a can of full soft drink. Other than that I've had a good day food wise.

I'm looking forward to this journey. It's been a long time coming.

    In order to lose weight you have to be in a calorie deficit.

    In order to know if you're in a calorie deficit, you have to weigh/measure/log your food.

    Exercise is important to health, but not necessary to lose weight. Find something you love and will do consistently.

    Eat foods you like, make healthy choices along the way, learn portion control/moderation
