What If I go over my protein intake?

I'm inputting my meal plan for to day in my MFP Diary.... and I see that I have gone over my protein and I am soon to go over my sugar.

Is it okay to go over a little bit?

Yup! With the exception of folks who are dealing with kidney issues, it's absolutely fine to go over on the protein goal set by MFP as it's more of a RDA (recommended daily allowance), not a limit. In fact many users custom set their macro goals as they would rather have actual limits/goals rather than the standard recommendations.

I use MFP's protein & fiber goals as minimums, and ignore fat & carbs (including sugar). But if you ask 100 MFPers, you'll get 100 different answers. It will take trial & error to find what works for you.

    I don't avoid fats—I ignore them.

Unless you live on nonfat greek yogurt, exceeding your protein goal will naturally up your fats & lower your carbs without your having to stress about the numbers.
