Has anyone else experienced this?

I am 12 pounds from my first goal weight. The closer i get to my goal i retain water more easily.
Like one day not drinking at least 60 oz or eating out (but still in my calorie regimen) and i put on a 1 pound and a half of water weight.

Does anyone have tips? Or advice?

I had too much sodium this weekend and didn't drink hardly enough water to flush it out yesterday and now I weigh more than I did last week. I'm going to drink as much water as I can to flush the sodium out of my system today. I hope it works out.
  • Yup, salt definitely retains water. Making sure to eat fresh food and not adding a lot of salt to foods you prepare will help. Eating out you don't have much control on how much salt is used. Also you could try to drink more water. I always have trouble drinking enough water but it actually helps.

Another annoying aspect is that you retain more water depending on the time of month. Don't know if that had anything to do with it but it always encourages me ;)
