So I have been sticking to my 1200 calorie diet eating same foods every day and have not changed anything, and I weigh myself every Monday morning. Last week I weighed 97lbs and this week I weigh 99? What is the cause of this? Thanks so much :)

  • Are you sure? So many people under estimate the calories they are eating. Are you keeping a journal of all you're eating? If you're seriously eating 1,200 calories there is no possible way to gain weight.

    Are you working out?

I watch this show called Secret Eaters ... These people fill out a food diary and then a camera crew follows them around and films them and sees what they're actually eating. Almost everyone on the program said they ate a 1200-1700 calorie diet, but at the end of the program it was found they were downing around 3000-4000 calories a day and didn't even know it, just from picking and snacking. I doubt your case is that extreme, but a lot of people underestimate how much they're actually eating.

Why, exactly, are you eating 1200 Cals per day (I'm assuming you are trying to lose weight?) when you weigh less than 100 lbs at 5'6" tall?

^my thoughts exactly. If you're gaining, that's a beautiful thing. You do not need to lose weight. Eat more, enjoy life. Love yourself.
