Spartacus Challenge

Hey everybody,
So i'm kind of new to MFP and really working out in general. Today I did the Spartacus workout challenge which is 10 exercise, 30 sec to preform as many reps of each with a 15 sec break in between. At the end, rest for 3-4 minutes and preform the circuit 2 more times with the 3-4 minutes rest between. This exercise is a month long, working out 3x a week with a day rest in between. So going through this Spartacus workout, I was only able to go through two rotation before becoming tried, and I was using only 5 pound dumbbells, lol. Hopefully by the end of this month I will be able to get through the whole thing with at least 20 reps or more of each exercise.
I figure this would be pretty good workout to start my new fitness journey, since I am currently a college student with such a wide limit range of free time to workout. Originally, I do want to work out in the gym at my school, but I barely have time between classes and the gym closes around 6. My short term goal is to just feel healthier and become more tone by May, since I am going to France in May.
I was wondering if anyone has done this workout challenge for the whole month? Where you able to finish the whole circuit on the first week? How do you feel after completing the challenge? Would this be effective enough to build muscle on a 'skinny fat' person?
Please feel free to share any result picture from this work out or any advice you can give, thanks.
