Where to start??

I have a lot of weight to lose and sometimes when I walk for a long period of time or at a higher rate I get winded. Where should I start? I've been living a sedentary lifestyle for quite a long time now and have no clue on where to start.

    welcome to working out- it gets uncomfortable.

    keep walking if you like it- that's a great place to start.

    I've always been told to start by going to your doctor, getting things checked out, and they can help set up a plan for you to stick to. Especially if you've been sedentary for a long time, it really couldn't hurt to get checked out first. Since you're new to fitness, you WILL get winded ... you need to workout to build your lung capacity and your body's endurance and strength.
