how much over a goal would you say is relevant?
I ate 89 calories more than I should have done (damn you, Freddo bar!) and was wondering if this will make a difference?

On the same note, if I were to be under my goal, would that make a difference, and if so how much of a difference will be caused?

(sorry for awkward and clunky sentence haha)

Thanks!

89 calories over!!! You just missed out on losing an extra 1/40 of a pound, Missy.

I guess my vote is "not relevant." ;)

I have a goal range...1600-1700...anything between that for me is golden...

    Your 89 calories psh...

To be frank even if I eat at maintenance one day (ie saturday) I don't care because my over all weekly deficet is intact.

    1-200 calories above or under.
I tend to average either low or high- so I mentally keep track of how high or how low I have been and adjust.

If I had a "high" day I make sure I'm picky about the next day.

I have days when BF is here- and we go out- or have a nice dinner and I don't fuss- so I make sure the day before I'm a little low.

pretty normal. Anything over 3-500 catches my attention and really makes me either go "that day was a waste" or "how do I mitigate this" but I don't sweat it.

As long as you're under your TDEE, you're fine.

I was over by 463 calories yesterday....and down about a pound this morning.

Daily weight fluctuations are normal. And for me, to be over on cals at least once a week is normal, and hasn't negatively impacted my progress. :drinker:

This. Also, 89 calories is really nothing. As long as it doesn't put you at your TDEE (which i doubt it would), it won't harm you at all.
