Who here is trying to or has eliminated (or really reduced) their wheat/sugar intake? I have a friend who lost 40 lbs just getting rid of these 2 evils...so I'm open to it. Would appreciate advice from those who have been there!

    Hi

I have reduced processed sugar from my nutrition plan over a couple of years. I take sugar with raw fruit intake. I do not use processed sugar nor sugar substitutes.

Unless you have a medical professional advise to do so, I would not eliminate a food category.

Whether or not wheat and sugar are evil, cutting them out of your diet doesn't necessarily mean you'll get the same results.

The reason anyone loses weight over a period of time is because they consume fewer calories than their body uses.

Certainly, eliminating certain foods, especially if you have a weakness towards them, can be a strategy towards creating a deficit and therefore losing weight. But be careful about labeling food groups as evil. It's all about the overall picture of your diet.
