Quick Breakfast Ideas

I am a chronic Breakfast skipper. Never get up early enough to really have breakfast and was wondering if anyone has some healthy quick breakfast ideas. Maybe something I can throw in the crock pot the night before, OR maybe make something thats more grab and go. I currently have enough time to make a shake in the morning before running off to a 10hr work day.

Thanks so much! Have a fantastic day!

This will take you at least 5 minutes, but it's suuuuuuper worth it!
Mash up 1 or 2 ripe bananas, mix them with an egg - done is your super yummy pancake dough ready to be thrown in your pan.
Sounds crazy right? But they will turn out like actual pancakes and omg, so delicious.

    Oatmeal with fruit
    Cereal and Milk
    Eggs and Bacon

Seriously, anything will do, just fit it into your calories. But, protein will help you feel fuller longer.

Protein bars are full of protein and you can eat them on the run. Even faster than a shake.
Although, if I were you, I'd just get up 15 minutes earlier and use that time for breakfast and "you" time before rushing off to your 10 hour day.
I started getting up an hour earlier every day (4:30 am) work out for 35 minutes, eat my cereal with berries, have a cup of coffee and log my exercise, breakfast and lunch on MFP. It gives me a good start to my day and a plan in place. It really helps me like mornings a lot better and sets me up for a good day.
    Good luck!

Oatmeal with fruit is my go to. There are several overnight oatmeal recipes that you mix up the night before and it's ready to go in the morning.

What about protein and fruit smoothie? Hardboiled eggs can be fixed and peeled in advance. Poached egg can be cooked in the microwave in a minute.

Any left overs in your frig will work, it doesn't have to be a breakfast food.

My normal breakfast is put 4-5 ice cubes in a blender, 2 bananas, 1 serving of soy protein powder and 1 apple, blend and put it in my nalgene bottle. Doesn't take me more than 2-3 minutes and it's a breakfast I can take with me.

I am the same, most workdays I am actually eating my breakfast on the drive or as I am first getting to work. A smoothie is always easy but I personally don't really have time to get out all the stuff and start up the blender and put it all away. A piece of fruit or a protein bar are always easy to grab and go and it is better than nothing. I often will mix up greek yogurt, fresh fruit and granola or nuts in a cup and bring it to work (I've been known to eat it while driving). Oatmeal is always an easy fix and there are a lot of great crock pot recipes. I also buy Lean Cuisine morning collection frozen breakfast sandwiches, I try not to eat these often but I do keep them in my freezer for the days that I only have enough time to microwave the sandwich for a couple minutes while I am getting my stuff together.

-Hard boiled eggs with cottage cheese and tomato.
-Pre-cut vegetables lightly friend with a few eggs, tofu, chicken etc.
-Fruit and a glass of milk with added protein powder.
-Overnight oats, soak oats in milk or water overnight and they have a very nice texture. Add fruit or whatever floats your boat.
    -Sardines on toast with tomato.

Sometimes if I'm really in a rush I'll open up a can of roasted turkey and a can of steamed spinach. I tend to eat savory food in the morning.

    Overnight oats!
  • I have a green smoothie every morning in my takeaway cup so i can drink it on the run!
    - 1 cup of water
    - Leaf of Kale
    - Banana
    - Strawberry's
    -Pear (optional)
I mix mine up a bit with goji berries, chia seeds and change up my greens and fruit

Blend in a vitamix or omniblend! It's less than 200 calories and only takes 1-2 mins for prep and blending

I am super busy and never have time in the morning to make breakfast so I usually do Kellogg's Special K - Protein Breakfast Shake Coffee House Chocolate Mocha. One bottle has my caffeine and protein = 190 calories.

Do you have a set day off?

This is what I do every sunday and it makes 6 portions so I have breakfast for the week!
    Mini breakfast queiche
The best way to do this is with a muffin tin (I use muffin liners too for easy clean up)
    heat oven to 375
    -7eggs
    -package of frozen chopped spinach
    -jar of artichoke hearts
-heavy whipping cream (I do about a 3 second pour)
-small hand full of your favorite shredded cheese (optional)
    -salt, pepper, garlic powder
-(spinach and artichokes is not set in stone its just my favorite. you cal also use broccoli, peppers, onions, basically whatever)

    Mix it all together
    pour into muffin tin
bake for about 25 min or until golden brown.

I portion them off into plastic baggies, 2 per baggie. So when I wake up in the morning I just nuke it for 30sec and BOOM breakfast!
