The C Word (Cellulite)

I am a 25 year old, I weigh 139 and am 5'4". I have always been a medium-build girl, always healthy, was a swimmer for 10 years.
However, I have always had a problem with cellulite. I have read that it is hereditary (thanks, Mom), but I've also read that the most effective way to get rid of it is by exercise, specifically weight and body weight exercises, not cardio.
Can anyone recommend any specific exercises for this? ie squats, lunges, etc.
