Are planning to balance it on your foot or something? Not sure how you could safely use a dumbell of any weight to do donkey kicks

Too much for what, exactly? For the muscles involved in moving the weight, it's quite light. But unless you're planning on duct taping the weight to your foot veggie each set, it's probably too heavy for your cooch when it inevitably falls from your foot and crushes you down there.

But on the upside, it's gonna be an awesome YouTube fails big clip
  • You place one dumbbell behind your knee and it stays there. I tried it yesterday and it works well. I've done it with other weights but never that heavy before.

Why not use a resistance band?

I do donkey kicks with 20lb dumbbells, but thats just because my legs arent up to 30 yet. Hey if you can lift it and you're not getting hurt than it's fine.

meh- I'd just have someone put their foot on mine and use resitence- or use an actual machine for it.

I"m not real keen on getting on the floor *kitten* up to do hammy/glute work when I can do a BB bridge lift with 200 lbs. It seems less... cheesey or fruity- or whatever for lack of a better word.

Are you asking people how much weight you can lift? If so you can definitely do 60lb dumbells.

I do them with a 15 lb dumbbell as a warm up stretch to posterior chain exercises. I don't try to progress with the weight since I see it as a warm up so 15 lbs is good for me, maybe you need a heavier weight to activate your muscles.
  • Thanks guys! Appreciate it :)
