Juicing

I want to start incorporating juicing into my diet but I am unclear on how to calculate the caloric content since I will not be eating the pulp of the fruit and vegetables. I don't know what impact this has on the calories but I am pretty clear it removes most of the dietary fiber.

Any suggestions on how to record this accurately?

Out of curiosity, why do you want to add juicing?

    +1

With juicing you get all of the sugar (fructose) and none of the fiber. What is the point?

    Here's my two cents anyway:

If you enjoy the taste of juice and it fits in your caloric goal, then go for it. I love the taste of freshly squeezed orange and grapefruit juices.

If you think you are getting some health benefits especially from the juice, or cleansing away toxins, are aiding in rapid loss, then you are mistaken. Eating the whole fruit will be better for you as you will be getting the fiber, and there is no scientific evidence that juicing cleanses your system of alleged toxins.
