I get so frustrated when I'm trying to diet.
I don't mind eating healthy, a lot of healthy foods are great!
My main thing is finding what is healthy that can give me enough calories without giving me too many carbs, sugars, sodium, or fat.
What in the world should I be eating to have a balanced diet. It's just frustrating.

lean proteins- chicken, turkey, fish, low fat cheese, nuts, beans
Lean dairy- skim milk, non-fat yogurt
Veggies- any and all. The bigger the variety the better.
Fruit- natural sugars are a bit different than processed sugars. If you have an elevated blood sugar, you should be careful of how mnay you eat, but 2 servings a day should still be fine.
Things like oatmeal, quinoa, brown rice, sweet potatoes, aren't bad carbs if eaten in moderation. In fact ANY carb eaten in an appropriate amount is OK.

If you are just wanting to lose weight, focus on calories right now.

    A) you will lose weight just being at a deficit.
    B) don't overwhelm yourself in the beginning
