Another Protein Powder Question

OK, I am currently working on losing weight. I also want to bulk up a bit as well. I do lift weights and do cardio 3-4 x's a week. I was considering using a protein powder. I have noticed that many people say that, especially whey protein, is not for weight loss. However, would I still be able to lose weight while using it? I really only planned on using the powder pre-workouts. Maybe the powder isn't right for me overall. It's just something I am looking at. Any advice would be helpful and appreciated.

Protein is good for your muscles. If you are losing weight, eating protein will help maintain muscles while you are losing fat. It won't solve all your problems but it definitely helps.

It won't be a hindrance to your weight-loss at all. In a perfect world, we could get all our protein from natural food sources. Seeing as how this just isn't possible sometimes, protein powders are a great tool to meet your protein requirements. Some people say that protein powder is a problem when you're trying to lose weight because they simply see it as extra calories and don't really understand the macronutrient benefits.0

I generally see this answer in response to the people who think using protein powder will magically make them lose weight. It won't. It also won't prevent your weight loss. It's just a way to get more protein. As long as you account for the calories you're good to go.0 -
