Felt warm after eating!

So today I had something a bit weird happen to me. After eating dinner tonight (CHILIS was not my choice by any means but I made the best out of a crappy situation). On the ride home I felt flush in the face that lasted maybe 15 minutes. I did a stretching routine and trained on the treadmill with my 5K trainer. I did skip my afternoon snack which is usually a handful of almonds, then trained and waited about an hour to eat dinner.

I currently take:
RSP Nutrition QuadraLean
AmiNO Energy (Preworkout)
Fish Oil
Multivitamin

I was checked for diabetes and thyroid problems two years ago and I was fine. Maybe it was because I didn't have my normal 3pm snack before training at 4:30 for an hour then not eating dinner until 6:30? Anyone else have this happen to them? I've read about people getting cold after eating not so much warm (unless it's related to said medical conditions)

Only times that happened to me was when I had a long period between food, when I used to do intermittent fasting (16/8) and I would heat up and sweat after having my large main meal. Other than that, not experienced it.

I get this sometimes. I used to have it happen more often but I made changes to my diet and it's improved. I am not sure what causes it, but I suspect for me it was a type of food reaction. I have cut out dairy and cut back on wheat and I don't get flushed as often anymore. But drinking water helps too I find.

Weeeellll, it could be the onset of menopause (kidding!) or it could be the food.

    "Flushing Associated with Food

Eating spicy or sour foods can cause facial flushing. This gustatory flushing is caused by a neural reflex involving autonomic neurons carried by the branches of the trigeminal nerve. The flushing may be unilateral.

The flushing of monosodium glutamate (MSG) is controversial. Oral challenge with MSG has failed to provoke flushing in volunteers with a history of MSG flushing. Patients should be encouraged to look beyond MSG at other dietary agents, such as red pepper, other spices, nitrites and sulfites (additives in many foods), thermally hot foods and beverages, and alcohol.5 Scombroid fish poisoning (tuna and mackerel) is caused by the ingestion of fish that was left in a warm temperature for hours. In addition to flushing, patients with scombroid fish poisoning experience sweating, vomiting, and diarrhea. These symptoms are caused by intoxication with histamine, which is believed to be generated by histidine decarboxylation by bacteria in spoiled fish."

    Oh no meno!!!

It could have been the good from Chilis (hate that restaurant) or the timing of meals. It seemed to recede when I drank 16oz of water, completely. Who knows, was definitely weird!
