Ageing and Food Sensitivities?

Has anyone else found that as they have got older, they have become sensitive to foods they could eat without issue when younger?
I have found, since hitting my late 30s, that I can no longer tolerate peanuts, many pulses and wheat, without getting terrible issues with stomachache and gas.
