Gained 1 kg

Since i last weighed i gained 1kg but i was counting my calories and didnt eat extra ...... Whats wrong ?

    That is my number one thought.


    Also may be water weight from high salt intake, or something else.

    Weight does fluctuate from day to day for all sorts of reasons.

    My advice is to keep doing what you are doing, if your weight keeps going up (say over 4-6 weeks) then it is time to start working out if you are underestimating food calories or overestimating exercise calories.

    It is just a fluctuation. I highly doubt you ate 7,000 calories over your maintanence in 3 days.

    As an example, in the last week my lowest weight recorded was 67.7 kg, and highest weight recorded was 69 kg.

    That is more than 1kg difference. (almost 3 pound difference)

    I fluctuate between 1-3kg a lot, even when I am consistent, its just how the body is, different hormones, fluid retention for different reasons, a little extra sodium does it...the list goes on, don't sweat it! This is a marathon not a race so try not weigh yourself as often and relax a little :)
